About Us
Where Did the Name 83° West Come From?
83° is the meridian line that is just to the west of the Florida Gulf coastline. We like to think when you look in that direction you are certain to see a beautiful sunset late in the day, or beautiful blue-green waters for boating, swimming, and enjoying the outdoors. While we are partial to the Gulf sunsets, the Atlantic sunrises are also beautiful!
Located in Central Florida
When we say we live the Florida lifestyle, we mean it. A typical weekend involves riding motorcycles to a fish camp, or a waterfront restaurant such as Sam's in Hudson or Crumps Landing in Homosassa Springs. We get our design inspiration from real places and real Florida culture.
We Strive for Quality USA-Made Products
While we cannot always guarantee USA-made products are available for a particular style or product, we actively seek out USA-assembled or final production services when selecting vendors, and very often they are located right here in Florida.
We Are Part of a Florida Small Business
83° West is one venture out of several under the DR Parsons Enterprises LLC (DRPE) organization. We are serial entrepreneurs in the sense we are inspired to offer products and services that provide value and enjoyment to our clients and customers, whether apparel, real estate, multimedia services, or publishing fiction and non-fiction books. At the end of the day, we have fun whether we are working or playing and that is directly instilled into every product we offer here in our store.
